Israel's Declaration of Independence

That's right! On the prior page we confirmed that the Jews declared their independence in 1948. Now let's look at Daniel 7:25 again:

(KJV)  Daniel 7:25 And he shall speak [great] words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Jews were delivered into the enemy's hand and "led away captive" by godless pagan Gentile powers, and continued to be oppressed and persecuted while being scattered among the Gentile nations, for over 2500 years. Their "strength" remained" shattered" until they began to be delivered out of Satan's hand in 1948.

Isn't that amazing?! In two independent parallel problems that span 2500 years, Daniel prophesied the restoration of sovereign control of Jews over Israel in 1948 and the completion of the restoration of their power over Jerusalem in 1967, right to the year! If there are any statisticians reading this, that can calculate the odds against this being an accident, we would appreciate hearing from you.

Two separate problems cross-confirming that the book of Daniel may well be unsealed, not by the hand of any 19th century individual, but by fulfilled prophecy through the simple passage of time. What a perfect way to seal a book!

It is important to note that it wasn't until after these dates had passed, that we could confirm our calculations for these problems through hindsight, that also led to a clear and sound understanding textually. Thus we may indeed find ourselves in what Daniel's prophecy describes as the "time of the end". Are you prepared for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ - perhaps today? As in the problems on the prior pages, the following pages will continue to explore Bible prophecy through the traditional approach of historicism though which all Jews and Christians understand Old Testament prophecy was fulfilled, and those great men of God of the Reformation - as well as most of the church throughout the first 1800 years of the Christian era - understood New Testament prophecy was being fulfilled.

Blessedly this isn't by any stretch the only confirmation, of the time in which we find ourselves, which may be confirmed through more fulfilled Bible prophecy and even more math problems that were assigned to us that confirm these same two dates. Let alone additional confirmation through the history of the Christian era, as well as objective reality regarding that tiny little strip of land of Israel, that was restored from utter desolation of 200 years ago to becoming one of the leading economies and a geopolitical focus of the whole world today.

On the subject of the restoration of Jews to Israel, it is important to note one reason for it, as partially quoted from our companion site at ModernZionism.com:

KJV Ezekiel 36:19 And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them.
22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not [this] for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went. 23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I [am] the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. 24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. 25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

Jews restoration to Israel was anticipated by great men of God, through Bible prophecy, centuries before that restoration ever began to take place.

Matthew Henry: "If God will build Jerusalem for the people and their comfort, they must inhabit it for him and his glory. The promises and privileges with which God's people are blessed, should engage us to join them, whatever it costs us."

Isaac Newton: “Hence I observe these things, first that the restauration of the Jewish nation so much spoken of by the old Prophets respects not the few Jews who were converted in the Apostles days, but the dispersed nation of the unbelieving Jews to be converted in the end when the fullness of the Gentiles shall enter, that is when the Gospel (upon the fall of Babylon) shall begin to be preached to all nations. Secondly that the prophecies of Isaiah described above by being here cited by the Apostle is limited to respect the time of the future conversion and restitution of the Jewish Nation, and thirdly that the humour which has long reigned among the Christians of boasting our selves against the Jews, and insulting over them for their not believing, is reprehended by the Apostle for high –mindedness and self-conceipt, and much more is our using them despightfully, Pharisaicall and impious”

Restored for the sake of God's holy name is certainly enough reason for me, with the passage suggesting that even "the heathen" would know He is Lord, from this stunning fulfillment of prophecy.

We'll get into more mathematical confirmation of prophecy later, but while we are in the seventh chapter of Daniel let's establish a little more groundwork, toward even more evidence, that suggests we may indeed be living in what Daniel's prophecy refers to as the "time of the end". When we click on this link to Daniel's chapter seven dream what "beast" do we find figured there?
