That's right! As we calculated on the prior page if a "time is as a thousand years", and the Hebrew idiom "time, times and an half" represents a factor of 2.5 (as per that Tanach), then Daniel 12:7 would suggest a period of 1,000 X 2.5 = 2500 years.

So let's look at the verse that began Daniel's prophetic dream again, to see what we might have missed in our first reading of it:

(KJV) Daniel 10:1 In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing [was] true, but the time appointed [was] long: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.

Certainly 2500 years would qualify as a long appointed time even in terms of Bible prophecy! Quoting from the list of "Time periods of the Book of Daniel" in Halley's Bible Handbook: "'A time, times, and a half' (12:7), denotes the period from Daniel to the time of the end (12:6)."

Now as we discovered on a prior page supportable dating for the third year of Cyrus is 533 BC. In order to advance 2500 years into the future from the third year of Cyrus, we have to subtract 533 BC from our total of 2500 years. What year do we arrive at when we subtract 533 from 2500?
